Zombie Holiday: Official Thread

Until Zombie Holiday gets it's own site (a long way off as ZH2 is nowhere near even alpha level yet!) I'll be using this for updates.

If you want to play the original 2001 Windows (rather daft) Zombie Holiday, you can visit it's page at: http://mixelmagic.com/a/projects/zombieholiday.

Installation - Run the installer - You'll have to move the font over to your fonts dir manually though!

Gaming tips: Surviving longer doesn't necessarily mean you'll do better - There is no end! You're just trying to beat the scores! - If you work out how the score is calculated (it has something to do with the number of kittens rescued) you can come up with a strategy for high scores.

There's a trick to killing each of the types of monster - demon ducks are by far the worst, but they can be killed.

ZH2 has nothing to do with ZH really, though they share some monsters and ideas. ZH2 is a CMO tie-in, featuring many of the CMO characters.. ZH2 won't be called ZH2, it'll be called Zombie Holiday (with the original game casually forgotten about, as it's silly), but as ZH2 doesn't exist in a useable form yet, for now I'll refer to it as ZH2. 

ZH2 will be a Mac osX game primarily. A windows port is possible, though many of the game mechanics would have to change, so to all extents and purposes there'd be two totally different games.

The chances of me finishing ZH2 are slim, but I'll still keep people posted, even as a short game/demo it'll be fun.

I'll need testers once a couple of levels are done.. Aralle? Also as you're such a mentally good spriter if you wouldn't mind contributing later down the line I might have some things you could sprite If you're up for it! If I ever go shareware with ZH2 (unlikely) you'd be paid.

Finally, if anyone's thinking this has been distracting me from normal CMO updates - it hasn't.. The reasons for missed updates have been more pressing matters which have put most stuff in my life on hold, not just CMO. CMO and ZH won't interfere with each other as there's no time constraints for ZH. :)

I've figured it out!  Shame that does nothing for my poor gaming skills.

Deeeeeefinitely addictive though.

Unfortunately making ZH2 is more of an undertaking, I think the original ZH took me less than a week from concept to 'finished' product, hehe.
